“Mrs. Bratcher--My child did very well on her achievement test scores this year, and I wanted to thank you all for your hard work in teaching her in third grade…I could tell she was excited about learning...they were her highest scores to date. Thank you again for all you did to make this possible.” – Susan B.
“Dr. Chaney--These teachers have one thing in common and that is they understand that kids and people learn differently. They also understand that kids show what they have learned differently, as well…Thank you for all you do on a daily basis for the kids and parents of Davidson Academy. May God continue to bless you and all of the staff.” – Steve C.
“Hey, Mrs. Gipson—I can’t tell you how much your class has prepared me for college life – not only in my study/research skills, but the challenges you presented to make us think critically and analytically has far surpassed any of my peers I have met at Tech. Talking with them about the intensity of their classes and how they are lacking now, I can see the correlation between their academic preparedness coming from less strenuous classes and the classes I had in high school…With all the love and gratitude in my heart—thanks!” – Kaelin Helms, Class of ‘08
“The strengths of Davidson Academy (include) teachers...who relate to me as a whole person, not just as a student….their attitudes are they don’t give up on us and will help us as much as possible…they have impacted my life…exemplify a good work ethic…they are not just teachers, but Christian mentors…they are approachable and available…we have small class sizes where my teachers really know me…there are diverse teaching styles among the faculty…they push you, but are willing to help.” – Collected comments from the Davidson Academy Class of 2010
“Davidson Academy…has a tightly knit community that is friendly and has been a place where I’ve been cared for…the school lives up to it’s motto of preparing us for college, life, and eternity…I would not be headed the direction I am if it weren’t for attending school here…I have grown tremendously…I feel prepared for what comes after high school…my faith has been strengthened…I’m glad I came here—it’s changed my life.” – Collected comments from the Davidson Academy Class of 2010
“As a parent it is my responsibility to educate and prepare my children so that they can succeed in life and be well-rounded individuals. When we were considering what school would best help us to achieve these goals of educating our children, reinforcing our Christian beliefs, and preparing our children for the future, we looked at many schools in the Middle Tennessee area. On our first visit to DA we knew that it was a special place and more than just a school; it was a family. Our children also commented that “the students here are different, they were so nice and wanted to get to know me and made me feel very welcome."
Coming from another private school, it was important to us to compare academic curriculum, test scores, and colleges attended by graduates. We were very impressed with the strong academic program that DA offers. We were also excited to see that DA encourages their students to participate in a variety of activities. DA emphasizes excellence not only in academics, but the arts and other activities that promote community service. DA is an institution of academic excellence and really does prepare their students for college, life, and eternity.” – Warren P.
