| The goal of Davidson Academy's academic instructional program is the
preparation of our students for success at the college or university of their
choice. Curriculum paths and requirements for graduation are designed to enable
students to gain admission to the next level of education that best fits their
abilities, gifts, and dreams.
At the high- school level Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses for college credit are available, and
diploma options include Honors tracks with emphases in mathematics, science, or fine arts.
Through the years, Davidson Academy boasts of several National Merit Finalists, National Merit Semi-finalists and Commended Scholars, as well as numerous annual AP Scholars award winners.
In grades 2 - 6 Davidson Academy offers TAP (Targeted Academic Progress), a like-paced learning program.
The goal is to tap into each child's learning potential by providing targeted, personalized instruction in a group setting.
In Physical Education students go through the Presidential Physical Fitness program twice a year. Spanish and music classes begin at age 3; other special classes are added later. Students also are challenged in the fully operational science lab.
