New Campus Progress Report

The Davidson Academy Board of Trustees has accepted an offer for purchase of the school's current campus on Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville.

Terms of the sale require that we obtain construction financing within the next 120 days. The purchase offer should enhance our ability to secure the financial backing to begin construction in Hendersonville. The trustees have also engaged an agent with experience in arranging bond financing. The terms of the campus sale require that we obtain construction funding within the next 120 days. If financing is secured, construction could begin this spring.

This exciting development is a tremendous boost to Davidson Academy's plans for the new campus in Hendersonville. Plans for the new facilities are in various stages of development. Construction drawings and specifications are complete for the Lower School building, and are in the approval process with the City of Hendersonville and the State Fire Marshalls office. The Upper School academic building and the arts and athletics complex are in the schematic design phase.

Davidson Academy's leadership acknowledges God's providence in how the purchase offer unfolded. We ask you to pray that we are able to secure the needed construction funding, that donors will continue to respond to the Forward in Faith Campaign, that construction can begin soon and go smoothly, and that God will send the new students and families He wants to be a part of the Davidson Academy experience.

More details will be shared with the school family as they develop.
