Crook and Harnisch Scholarships Awarded

At our Silver Anniversary Gala, Dr. Chaney announced three student honors to be bestowed annually. From that year forward, there would be three Crook Scholars designated, one from Lower School, one from Middle School, and one from Upper School. The selection committee reviews student progress in both academics and citizenship. In addition, Ruth Ann Harnisch of the Harnisch Family Foundation, and a close family friend of Mr. and Mrs. Crook, presented a gift of scholarship funds in honor of the Crooks, to be distributed as a $1,000 annual award for each of 10 successive years. Each recipient of the Harnisch Family Foundation scholarship is to have demonstrated significant commitment to the arts and/or community service.

This year's Crook Scholars are Lea Mutter (4th grade), Isabella Gray (7th grade), and Emily Evans (11th grade). Emily is also the recipient of the Harnisch Family Foundation scholarship award. Darlyne Kent and Brandy Norton introduced these outstanding young ladies as they were presented with engraved pewter cups commemorating their awards.
