Davidson Academy Kindergartener is the Youngest Featured Artist at an International Exhibition in North Carolina

Erica Horton, a Davidson Academy Kindergarten student, and daughter of Rob and Tiffany Horton of Hendersonville, is the youngest featured artist in an art exhibit that will be on display at a museum in North Carolina from July till October.  The Turchin Center of the Visual Arts is located in Boone, North Carolina on the campus of Appalachian State University.  Erica’s painting was one of 27 chosen out of 109 entries from around the world for the Brian Ayers Memorial Art Exhibition. The winning artists ranged in age from six (Erica) to 25. She is pictured here at a lavish reception on the opening night of the exhibit.
