If there is sufficient demand, Davidson Academy provides bus transportation to and from school along certain routes. Our primary commitment in transportation is student safety.  Each bus driver holds a Commercial Driver's License with a School Bus endorsement.  Each bus is maintained by certified mechanics in accordance with Department of Transportation guidelines.

Weekly rates for transportation for 2011-2012 are as follows:

Davidson Academy offers bus transportation to and from Hendersonville, Springfield, and White House. Students of any age may ride round-trip direct from First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd.; or from the parking lot behind Hardees on Memorial Blvd. in Springfield; or from 491 Sage Road in White House; leaving at about 7:10 a.m. and returning about 3:30 p.m.

Students may ride any bus occasionally one way as needed for a charge of $4 per ride.

For a ride home from school, students will simply board the bus and give the driver their name and stop, and the charge will be posted to their school account. For a ride to school, call Levoy Elmore at (615) 944-5974. Charges for transportation are made to school accounts monthly. One week's written notification is required to discontinue service.

The school also provides bus or van transportation for students involved in athletics, field trips, or other extracurricular activities whenever possible. When Davidson Academy cannot provide transportation to a certain off-campus activity, any student who is an official participant who drives or rides to that activity in a private vehicle must submit a completed "Release of Liability for Private Transportation to School-Related Event" form signed by his or her parents or guardians.
