Our sole purpose is to enhance the student's experience while at Davidson Academy. We do this by donating time to run the concessions, assisting in spirit item sales, helping at athletic dinners, conducting revenue generating activities (such as the BBQ Dinner), volunteering for facility improvement work days, and providing financial support to Davidson Academy's athletic programs and facilities.
Our volunteers, through their dedication and commitment, assist the Headmaster in making the DA experience rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling to all students. Specifically, in the letter from the Headmaster, Dr. Bill Chaney states:
"As a student at Davidson Academy you will have many opportunities for participation and
growth. You can obtain here and excellent preparation for college and for life. You can also pursue your
own interests and develop your own talents through your involvement in a variety of worthwhile activities.
Of course the more you become involved in school life, the more benefit you will receive from your experiences
at Davidson Academy."
In short, as Dr. Chaney states in his last line above, the Davidson Academy Athletic Booster Club is involved so your children can have athletic equipment that keeps them safe, athletic programs that allow them to be competitive, and, ultimately, a school that fosters personal growth through athletic participation.
Join us today! Volunteer your time and expertise. Become an active member. The cost to join is only $15. Attend one of our meetings. Provide input on how to improve our programs. We welcome advice and recommendations on how we, as a club, can do more for the school. Participate in our sponsored programs such as the Bar-B-Q Dinner. |
