TRANSPORTATION : DROP-OFF & DISMISSAL

Morning Drop-Off Instructions
Please do not park along the curb if you need to come into the building and/or if you need to spend more than two minutes discussing something with your child. Many of our parents need to get to work, so please be respectful of their time. You may park along the median or in one of the parking spaces. We also ask that you please refrain from parking in the faculty/ staff parking lot. Thank you for your help.

Dismissal Procedures
Bus riders are dismissed at 2:55 p.m. Buses will load in the lower upper school parking lot.

  • If the youngest rider in your car is in grades K3-3, use the front dismissal area.
  • If the youngest rider is in grades 4-6, use the dismissal area behind the gym.
  • If the youngest rider is in grades 7-12, use the upper school drive for dismissal.

Lower school students who ride with an older brother or sister must have written permission from parents. The older brother or sister must go to the designated area to meet and safely escort the younger brother/sister to the car.

All parents who pick up students in front of the lower school at the 3:00 p.m. dismissal are asked not to arrive before 2:40 p.m. This will allow time and space for the parents who are picking up students at the 2:30 p.m. dismissal.

In front of the lower school, motorists are asked to use any one of three lanes marked at the radius. Motorists will remain in that lane during the dismissal process. The lane next to the curb with a yellow border should be kept open. No perpendicular parking on the north side of the median is allowed from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

K3, K4, K5 parents may take advantage of one of the three options listed below:

1. Child may be picked up at 2:30 p.m. by the parent.

2. Child may be picked up at 3:00 p.m. in regular dismissal with an older brother or sister.

3. If child is enrolled in extended care, he or she will be placed with a caregiver at 2:30 p.m.
