Travis Humes Named Davidson Academy's Next Head Baseball Coach

Coach Humes is a 2010 graduate of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he was a four-year letterman in baseball for the Eagles. Humes began his coaching career as a student assistant at Lambuth in 2009.

“Coach Humes brings high energy and a winning attitude to our baseball program,” said Athletic Director Kevin Harper. “His approach will help grow and improve the lives of every one of his players at Davidson Academy.”

With more than 10 years of coaching experience, Humes spent the last five seasons at the helm of the Trousdale County High School baseball program. In addition, his coaching career includes stints with his alma mater, Mt. Juliet High School, as well as the Nashville Knights.

“We’re thrilled to bring Coach Humes on board to start a new chapter of Bears baseball,” said Headmaster Joe Bradley. “The entire Davidson Academy family can’t wait to see what’s in store on the DA diamond next spring.”

“My family and I are blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the DA family,” said Coach Humes. “We are extremely excited about getting to know each and every family.”
