Music
Choir is designed to engage students who are interested in vocal music. It helps students develop confidence in their individual vocal abilities, while also teaching them how to control and blend their voices to contribute to the overall sound and musical quality of an ensemble. Students will learn a variety of musical styles and work as an ensemble to perform and share music with our school community.
Our Praise Band is for students who play instruments, sing, or provide tech and have a desire to praise God while leading in Chapel. A variety of styles of Christian music will be performed. Through praise band, students build their leadership skills as well as craftsmanship in the realm of music. The music and associated skills are applied each week through performance at all middle and upper school chapels. Additionally, the praise and worship team perform for the annual school retreats.

Private Music Lessons are offered in Piano, Voice, Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute or Trumpet with Mrs. Laura Stewart. With a B.S. in Music Education & over 30 years experience, Mrs. Stewart seeks to build well-rounded musicians with basic music theory, technique & artistry, and performance skills. She finds the best method for each student individually, providing a FUN experience that promotes great progress.
Taking music lessons not only helps a child develop a lifelong skill that they can share with others, but it also significantly enhances cognitive abilities—including discipline, short-term memory, language-based reasoning, planning & inhibition—which lead to improved academic performance.
Piano & Voice are offered to students in K5-12th grades.
Instrumental lessons are for students 4th-12th grades.
