Grade: 10th
How long have you been a student at DA?
5 years
What is your favorite thing about DA?
The DA community
Which class has been your favorite and why?
My favorite class has been biology with Mrs. Chapman! She is the best, she really helps you fully understand what’s going on and have fun at the same time!
How would you describe the classroom environment at DA?
The classroom environment is very welcoming!
What is your favorite DA tradition?
I love the class trips every year!
What activities are you involved in at DA?  (Please state if you hold a leadership position.)
I am on the varsity softball, basketball, and soccer teams. I am a leader of FCA and I am involved in Key Club as well.
Choose a DA activity or team that you listed above and describe your experience and how it has impacted you.
Being a part of the soccer team this year really taught me to love soccer even more. It was such a great experience with Coach Gordon, Coach Lamb, and all of the girls. We all really learned how to work great together as a team. We accomplished so much this season and we made it to the second round of regionals. I can’t wait for next year!
Davidson Academy is a God-focused school.  How does that impact life at DA and what does it mean to you?
DA being a God-focused school has helped me grow in my walk with Christ. Our school is a place I can go if I am struggling. There are so many people that will pray for you and help guide you through situations. Coming from a public school in elementary, DA has really had an impact on my life.
What would you tell someone who was interested in attending Davidson Academy?
I would tell them that it was one of the best decisions my family ever made. I would tell them my experience personally and how the people were so welcoming. I would share how DA has so many social and academic opportunities.
What has DA taught you about being a leader?
I’ve learned how to be organized, respectful, responsible, and to have a positive Christ-like attitude while leading.
What activities do you participate in outside of school?
I am involved with a church and youth group.
