"Keepsake" Edition ad of our graduating seniors will be appearing in the Hendersonville Star News and in the Gallatin News Examiner on Friday, May 16th. On Wednesday, May 21st, ads will run in the Davidson AM North section of the Tennessean, and in Hendersonville Star News, Gallatin News Examiner, and Robertson County Times. Every ad will feature your senior class photo. The ads in Sumner County papers and in Robertson County Times will list the names of residents from those counties around the ad border |

On Monday, April 28th, the DA softball team was again listed in the Tennessean Mid-State Top 10 poll. The team placed 1st in the Tom Corbitt Invitational Tournament in Waverly, TN this past weekend. Senior Ainsley McCullough (18-6) pitched 7 shut-out games, in which Davidson Academy scored 33 runs against opponents. |

Davidson Academy English teachers Kevin Chopson and Mary Schreuder were recently inducted into leadership roles with the Nashville Council of Teachers of English. Chopson will serve as president and Schreuder as vice-president during the 2008-2009 school year. Along with other officers and volunteers, they will be responsible for creating and promoting a number of optional enrichment programs for Nashville area teachers to attend. |

Kevin Chopson’s poem “Hawaii” has just been accepted for publication in the May issue of Poem. Poem was founded in 1967 by the Huntsville Literary Association and has earned a reputation as being one of the finest poetry magazines in the United States. |
