Enrich your child's summer with a wide variety of skills-based camps! Week-long athletic, art, music, and science camps are available to rising Junior Kindergarten - 12th grade regardless of school enrollment.

  • WK1 JUNE 1 - 4 Boys Football Camp

    • Time: (Mon - Thur), 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    • Grades: Rising 3rd - 8th
    • Instructor: Jonathan Quinn, HS Football Coach & Thomas Porter, Defensive Coordinator 
    • Cost: $150 
    • Friday care Option: $20
    Head Coach: Jonathan Quinn Coach Quinn has served as Davidson Academy’s Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the past 8 seasons. During his tenure, DA has compiled a record of 75-23; winning state championships in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Coach Quinn played quarterback at MTSU from 1995-1997 and was drafted in 1998 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He went on to play 8 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Jaguars, Chiefs, and Bears. He was also named the MVP of NFL Europe’s World Bowl in 2001. Coach Quinn began his coaching career at MidAmerica Nazarene University as the offensive coordinator from 2007-2008 and as the head coach from 2009-2014. 
     
    Defensive Coordinator: Thomas Porter Coach Porter has served as Davidson Academy's Defensive Coordinator for three seasons. Before arriving at DA Coach Porter was the Head Football Coach at Stratford STEM High School in Nashville TN for 6 Seasons. During his tenure at Stratford Coach Porter led the Spartans to the playoffs each of the 6 years and made it to the TSSAA Semi-Finals in 2018. Coach Porter helped coach Stratford High Schools 1st and only TSSAA Mr. Football Winner (James Moore) in 2019. Porter has also Coached at Ezell Harding Christian School as Defensive Coordinator between2013-2016 and at Tennessee State University as a Graduate Assistant between 2011-2013. Coach Porter played Running Back at Ferrum College in Ferrum VA, 2006-2011, earning all-conference honors and earning the honor as Team Captain his senior year.
     
    Camp Description: Non-Contact: Each camper will work with the Varsity football coaches on fundamentals of the game. There will be many stations set up that focus on running, catching, throwing and agility work. They will learn many aspects of the game and be able to set their foundation as well as sharpen what they already know. We ultimately have two goals for our football camp: learn how to play safely and have fun.

    Come learn basic soccer skills with Coach Unland! Campers will practice passing, dribbling, shooting, running to increase speed and have tons of fun doing it! Coach Unland has taught middle and high school soccer for 20+ years, winning TIAA Championship three times! Coach Unland is well known for his enthusiasm and passion for soccer! 
  • WK2 JUNE 8 - 11 Cheer Camp

    At our DA Summer Cheer Camp, the campers will learn the basics of cheerleading, such as dance, cheers, jumps, and basic stunt skills. Our campers will work with some of our DA cheerleaders to improve their skills and learn from a very talented group of cheerleaders. We will conclude our camp with a special performance for parents.

    Come learn softball skills with Coach Swinea and Annalee Boner! Coach Swinea has been coaching 33 years at Davidson Academy. Softball Camp is designed to help players learn, play, and enjoy the game of softball! Players will work on hitting, throwing, fielding, and teamwork through exciting drills and games! Whether you are brand new to softball or already love the game come ready to play hard, make friends, and have a great time!

    Our soccer camp will feature various skill development and a magnificent camp experience. We are not just an ordinary camp; we believe children should have the best fun filled week. Our activities will include and not limited to; foot skills, passing and receiving, shooting, dribbling, and various small games throughout the week in order to reinforce various skills taught. Campers should wear, if possible, their soccer cleats, shin-guards, high knee length socks, and bring with them a sports drink and their water bottles. Any allergies or medications that we need to be aware of, please let us know. On our final day of camp, we will have a parent vs. camper game! Come on out for our Bear Camp soccer experience.

    Davidson Academy Shooting Clinic is designed to help players elevate their scoring ability through focused skill development, expert coaching, and high-repetition training. This clinic breaks down proper shooting mechanics, footwork, shot preparation, and game-speed execution to help athletes become more confident and consistent scorers.
    Players will receive detailed instruction on form shooting, catch-and-shoot situations, shooting off the dribble, movement shooting, and free throw consistency. Each session emphasizes technique, shot selection, and developing a quick, repeatable release under defensive pressure. Athletes will also participate in competitive drills that simulate real game scenarios to reinforce skills in a live setting.
    Whether you’re looking to improve your three-point percentage, become more effective off screens, or develop a reliable pull-up jumper, this clinic provides the tools and coaching to take your offensive game to the next level.

    • Instructor: Cody Church, DA Varsity Head Baseball Coach

    Coach Church is in his third season as the Head Baseball Coach at Davidson Academy. Coach Church began his coaching career as an assistant at NCAA Division I Presbyterian College. Following Presbyterian, he went on to spend two years in the same capacity at Tennessee Tech University - where their teams led the country in runs, homeruns, and hits. After winning an OVC Title, he went on to become the Head Coach at Maryville College, where their teams had a 122-79 record and were ranked top-25 nationally in multiple seasons. 
    Campers will learn basic fundamentals and techniques of hitting, fielding, base running, and throwing. In addition, there will be competitive games to promote team building, communication skills, and most importantly keep each child engaged and having fun playing the sport. The final day will conclude with “sliding practice” using a slip and slide.

    This is a full-day camp with drop-off and pick-up at Davidson Academy. Each day, campers and DA staff will travel to Nashville Swim Academy to enjoy two hours of swim lessons. When not at swim lessons, campers will participate in water safety activities and enjoy games and play on the Davidson Academy campus. 
     
    Swim Strong Camp is designed for swimmers who are ready to spend focused time in the water building confidence and strong swimming habits. Campers work closely with our experienced instructors in small groups to develop skills that support safety, efficiency, and independence. With consistent instruction and intentional practice, swimmers have the opportunity to slow things down, revisit challenging skills, and gain a better understanding of how their bodies move through the water. This camp is encouraging, purposeful, and ideal for swimmers looking to make meaningful progress.

    We will read and discuss the book, "Pretty Inside and Out," and participate in hands-on beauty tips, hair braiding techniques, and self-care, with a focus on how God made all of us in His image.

    Campers will love to mix, roll, bake and decorate at the Baker Bear Camp! They will enjoy wholesome summer games and recess time while their baked goods are in the oven!

We will stock the centers with a wide variety of media for campers to have at the ready when inspiration strikes, plus teacher directed builder challenges. Campers will use LEGOS, cardboard, recycled materials, buttons, beads, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and more. 
  • WK1 JUNE 1-5 Storybook STEM

    • Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Storybook STEM – Ever wonder how Max built his boat in Where the Wild Things Are, or how to build the best structure like Iggy Peck, Architect? Spend the week in fan-favorite books ranging from beloved classics to newer favorites. Campers will explore science, math, and engineering through hands-on activities inspired by favorite picture books while building reading comprehension, vocabulary, creativity, and confidence.

    Calling all Swifties! Get ready to “Shake It Off” and have the “Best Day” ever at Taylor Swift Camp, where we’ll channel our inner pop stars and embrace the fun, creativity, and sparkle of Taylor Swift’s world. We’ll craft our own stories through exciting activities inspired by Taylor’s iconic Eras. From designing friendship bracelets, creating our junior jewel shirts, and discovering our inner songwriter with our own Taylor Swift song! Of course, we’ll end the week with a Taylor’s Version dance party and a screening of Eras Tour!
    Whether you love “dancing in your best dress” or want to “paint the world red,” this camp is the perfect place to “spark a fire” and make magical memories. A week full of music, crafts, and fun that will make you feel “enchanted”!

    The Knight School offers a super fun, high energy chess experience in which kids celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, music driven puzzlers for prizes, colorful silicone Tactixbands, fast clocks, and compelling teaching approaches make this camp the summer highlight for hundreds of kids who make up the awesome network of The Knight School's nationwide chess teams.

Designed for rising 1st - 4th grade, this camp combines art with science and engineering through playful exploration and imaginative construction. Campers will design and experiment with reused materials to create figures, bridges and towers, and explore how form and function work together. Group and individual, open-ended and guided challenges each day.

Campers will design and experiment with materials to create simple machines, bridges and towers, and explore how form and function work together. Group and individual, open-ended and guided challenges each day.

    Build, Create, Explore!

    At our LEGO Free Play Camp, imagination knows no bounds! This camp is designed for children who love to build, design, and explore the endless possibilities of LEGO.     Beginner and intermediate RC car enthusiasts will enjoy circuit and drag racing the Traxxas 1/16th Slash radio-controlled car. Campers will learn the fundamentals of racing and speed secrets, tips and tricks to gain better control of the car.  Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on challenges designed to improve coordination and confidence in the sport. Please note our cars are not for bashing, running into walls or other cars and remain the property of the camp.

Throughout the week, we'll develop each child's performance while also teaching real show business basics, including how to create a professional comp card and learning about the industry. This fun, hands-on camp builds confidence, creativity, and stage presence, all while learning what it takes to perform. The week wraps up with an exciting showcase for friends and family!
