    Davidson Academy is seeking a part-time High School American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.  The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to see students improve and succeed.  The ASL teacher will be working closely with the foreign language department to produce high-quality instruction and engaging content. A Bachelor’s degree is required and three years of teaching experience is preferred.

    Davidson Academy is seeking a full-time Elementary and Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our faculty for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to work with students ranging from preschool to 8th grade. To be successful, the Spanish teacher should demonstrate Spanish and English fluency, and a commitment to the principles and mission statement of Davidson Academy. A Bachelor’s degree is required and three years of teaching experience; a Masters degree is preferred.

    Davidson Academy is seeking a full time High School Science Teacher to join the high school faculty for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to see students improve and succeed. Teacher must also supervise investigations and experiments, developing rapport, and maintaining good relationships with students and parents. To be successful, the science teacher should demonstrate sound knowledge within their discipline (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) and a commitment to the principles and mission statement of Davidson Academy. A Bachelor’s degree is required and three years of teaching experience; a Masters degree is preferred.

    Davidson Academy
    is seeking a full time Upper School Chemistry Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to see students improve and succeed. The purpose of this position is to instruct students about chemical elements, compounds, and reactions. Teacher must also supervise investigations and experiments, developing rapport, and maintaining good relationships with students and parents. To be successful, the chemistry teacher should demonstrate sound knowledge of chemistry, be able to apply scientific principles to real-life situations, and successfully teach students with different interests and aptitudes. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with three years of teaching experience and a Tennessee teaching license with Chemistry endorsement preferred.

    Davidson Academy
    is seeking a full time Upper School Math Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to see students improve and succeed. The US math teacher will be working closely with the entire High School math department to produce high-quality instruction and engaging content. A master’s degree in mathematics is a plus, but not required.

  • Staff Positions

    Davidson Academy is seeking a Preschool Executive Director for the 2023-2024 school year. The Preschool Executive Director will operate the preschool in accordance with its mission, vision, policies, and procedures and state licensing standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating quality care for preschool children in a safe and nurturing environment.  The Executive Director will be responsible to plan and conduct an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of each child, to maintain high standards of customer service by establishing positive relationships with families; to effectively manage staff, finances, and operations of the preschool program; and to advocate for the importance of early childhood education in the community.

    A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is required. A minimum of two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
