Davidson Academy is seeking Lead Camp Teachers for Bear Camp 2024.
Lead Camp Teachers will be responsible for planning and conducting week-long, high-quality content with varying titles on the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, art/theater/music, math. Effectively manage a class of 15-20 students with excellent classroom management strategies. Supervise and coordinate age-appropriate activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of each child. Maintain high standards of customer service by establishing positive relationships with the children, families, and coworkers. Be willing to help where needed with a positive, can-do attitude. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. A minimum of one year of childcare or teaching experience is required.

Bear Camp is a high energy, fun environment and offers a flexible schedule. Each camp is 15 hours per week, Mon-Fri, June 3 – July 19. Teachers may choose morning and/or afternoon camps. Payment commensurate with experience and degrees earned.

This is a great opportunity for high school and college students. Bear Camp is a high energy, fun environment and offers a flexible schedule. There are three, 8-hour shifts available and will work in the following areas: morningcare, drop-off, camp set-up/clean-up, lunchcare, dismissal, and aftercare. This is not an exhaustive list of tasks. Shifts are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., June 3 – July 19 (Closed July 1-5) $10/hour
