Davidson Academy Announces Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Davidson Academy is excited to announce the Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian.  Both young ladies have not only achieved the highest marks academically in their graduating class, but have done so with Godly attitudes and strong character.  Both will graduate as a Chaney Scholar Honors Diploma recipient.

The 2024 Valedictorian is Miss Kylee Hitchcock. She has earned the highest numerical average in her class.  Kylee is the daughter of Tammy and Jeremy Hitchcock.  She has attended Davidson Academy since Pre-K 3.  Kylee’s favorite courses while at DA have been AP Calculus AB and BC and AP US History. Her most memorable academic experience was researching and presenting on the topic of “Katherine Johnson: Human Computer” as part of the Senior Research Project course taken by all DA seniors.  Her favorite DA memories come from class trips to Washington D.C. and New York City.  Kylee is undecided on her college choice and plans to double major in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics.

The 2024 Salutatorian is Miss Faith Sanderson.  She has earned the second highest numerical average in her class.  Faith is the daughter of Jaime and Murray Sanderson.  She has attended DA since 6th grade.  Faith’s favorite courses while at DA include Biology Honors, Dual Enrollment US History, Spanish IV, and AP Biology.  Her most memorable academic experience was researching and presenting her research titled  “Kanakuk Kamps Scandal: Decade of Sexual Abuse Exposed” for her Senior Project.  Outside the classroom Faith’s favorite experiences are being a four-year member of the Varsity Volleyball Team and the Junior class trip to NYC.  Faith is undecided on her college choice and plans to major in Nursing.

Congratulations Kylee and Faith!
