Meet Cullie Walton

Name: Cullie Walton

Grade: 9th

How long have you been a student at DA? 10 years

What is your favorite thing about DA?
Spending time with teachers and friends.

Which class has been your favorite and why?
My favorite class is English because Mrs. Bergman explains things really well and is always there to help when we need it. She makes sure we understand what we’re learning.

What is your favorite DA tradition?
The DA 7th grade trip to Disneyland.

What activities are you involved in at DA?
I am part of the cheerleading team and track team.

Choose a DA activity or team that you listed above and describe your experience and how it has impacted you.
Cheerleading has impacted me by knowing that I am never alone and I can go to someone if I need anything.

Davidson Academy is a God-focused school. How does that impact life at DA and what does it mean to you?
It makes DA feel like a really welcoming and positive place. I like that people care about each other and that I can be myself around people who have similar values.

What would you tell someone who was interested in attending Davidson Academy?
I would tell them that they would be in great hands at DA. Everyone is really caring and supportive, and you can always trust that God is with you.

What has DA taught you about being a leader?
DA has taught me that being a leader isn’t just about being in charge. It’s about helping others, supporting your teammates, and being someone they can count on.

What activities do you participate in outside of school?
I love to babysit.
