Meet Bella Roberson

Name: Bella Roberson

Grade: 9th

How long have you been a student at DA? 12 years

What is your favorite thing about DA?
My favorite thing about DA is the Christian community and environment that you experience while you're here.

Which class has been your favorite and why?
My favorite classes at DA have been 6th grade math with Mrs. Allen and 8th grade English with Coach Clayton. I loved the way that Mrs. Allen taught our curriculum, and was always there if you needed her. Coach Clayton made a safe environment for you to come and talk to him and he always found a way to make class fun.

How would you describe the classroom environment at DA?
The classroom environment at DA is welcoming and inclusive. Everyone is encouraged to participate and feels like they belong.

What is your favorite DA tradition?
My favorite DA traditions are the Bear Walk before football games and the class trips that we take every year.

What activities are you involved in at DA?
I am on the DA Varsity Cheer team, Book Club, DA Ambassadors, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Beta Club.

Choose a DA activity or team that you listed above and describe your experience and how it has impacted you.
I have cheered for the past 5 years at Davidson Academy, and it has brought me to some of my closest friends at DA.

Davidson Academy is a God-focused school. How does that impact life at DA and what does it mean to you?
DA being a God-focused school impacts every day by incorporating Christianity in our education and curriculum. We have chapel on Thursdays, and that allows you to take time out of your day to be intentional about spending time with God and learning from the Bible.

What would you tell someone who was interested in attending Davidson Academy?
I have been at Davidson Academy for the past 12 years, and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I'm very lucky that my parents chose DA when I was young because it has been a great Christian environment to grow up in.

What has DA taught you about being a leader?
I've learned that it's ok to not fit in with everyone, and that God made us with our own unique purpose.
