Meet Garrett Fulton

Name: Garrett Fulton

Grade: 10th

How long have you been a student at DA?

I have been a student at DA for three years.

What is your favorite thing about DA?

My favorite thing about DA is the dedication of the teachers and how they focus on every student and what they need.

Which class has been your favorite and why?

My favorite class has Government because Coach Rader is a great teacher and is always open to help when you need it.

How would you describe the classroom environment at DA?

The classroom environment at DA is wonderful. Students are respectful to all the teachers and willing to help newer students that may not know what to do.

What is your favorite DA tradition?

My favorite DA tradition is the tailgates. It is always really fun to go and enjoy being there with all your friends and also to meet new people.

What activities are you involved in at DA?

I am involved in the DA Clay Target Team and have been shooting with them for the past three years.

Choose a DA activity or team that you listed above and describe your experience and how it has impacted you.

When I joined the DA clay target team I found it to be millions of times better than the last team I had shot with. Everyone was very welcoming and I have grown a lot not just as a shooter but also a person.

Davidson Academy is a God-focused school. How does that impact life at DA and what does it mean to you?

My life has changed so much since I came to DA. Being at a God-focused school has introduced me to so many kind and compassionate people who have encouraged me in my faith and helped me grow as a person.

What would you tell someone who was interested in attending Davidson Academy?

I would tell them that DA is an incredible school and a great option for someone looking for a change. The teachers are supportive, the students are welcoming, and there are so many opportunities to get involved, make friends, and grow both academically and personally.
