How long have you been a student at DA?
I’ve been at DA for two years.

What is your favorite thing about DA?
My favorite thing about DA is the family atmosphere we have here, and how the teachers help with everything you need.

Which class has been your favorite and why?
The class that has been my favorite has definitely been Biology Honors. I have always loved and been interested in science and Mrs. Chapman has made it so much more fun and exciting.

How would you describe the classroom environment at DA? The classroom environment is very welcoming and comfortable.

What is your favorite DA tradition?
My favorite DA tradition is the bear walk, or the candle lighting ceremony at the end of the year.

What activities are you involved in at DA?
I am in cheerleading, Culinary Club, Yogalates Club, and Passion for the Paws.

Choose a DA activity or team that you listed above and describe your experience and how it has impacted you. Cheerleading has impacted my life so much. I have made so many new friends that I never thought I would have, and it has shown me how to face challenges and new experiences with more confidence.. It has made my transition to Davidson so much easier since last year was my first year.

Davidson Academy is a God-focused school. How does that impact life at DA and what does it mean to you?
Since DA is a God-focused school, I have become so much closer to God. It also influences all of my friendships here because we have that in common.

What would you tell someone who was interested in attending Davidson Academy?
I would tell them that it has been the best decision I have made, and I know that is the same for many other people. It has made me so much closer to God, and I have met so many amazing friends, and teachers.

What has DA taught you about being a leader?
It has taught me that I don't always have to follow the crowd.
