  • Health Female

    This course will involve the study of health and wellness. Students will be introduced to basic health such as personal health, fitness, body systems, growth, medicines, drugs, and diseases. Personal responsibility will be stressed as a primary means of promoting health and wellness.
  • Health Male

  • Individual and Team Sports

    Prerequisite: None

    Individual & Team Sports teach players how to motivate themselves, learn self‑reliance, and compete at their own pace. Team sports teach practice, patience, and persistence. Sports offered are: basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, volleyball.
  • Nutrition for Young Women

    Grade level: 11,12
    Credits: 0.5
    Prerequisite: None

    This course explores the fundamentals of nutrition with a focus on how young women can make informed, healthy choices for lifelong wellness. Topics include balanced eating, understanding macronutrients and micronutrients, meal planning, mindful eating, and the impact of nutrition on energy, mental health, and athletic performance. Students will engage in hands-on activities, including meal prep, recipe analysis, and food label decoding, to develop practical skills for making smart dietary choices. 

  • Strength and Conditioning

    Grade level: 9-12
    Credits: 0.5
    Prerequisite: None

    Strength and Conditioning class will  involve a wide range of exercises developed to build a variety of skills with a focus on mobility,  motor skills,  stability, strength, endurance, power, speed, agility and performance. Students will be Tested regularly every 6-9 weeks to evaluate their progress.
