Chosen majors include Biology, Psychology, Veterinary Science, Exercise Science, Nursing, Finance, Religious Studies, Music Business, and Engineering.
Academically and athletically the Class of 2022 is strong – graduating 20 National Honor Society members all with cumulative averages of 95 or higher. There were also 12 Chaney Honor Diplomas awarded, 6 members of Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, 2 members of The International Thespian Society, 6 earned the Volunteer State Seal of Biliteracy, and 1 National Merit Finalist. Ten students will play collegiate athletics (football, basketball, baseball, softball, and women’s soccer).
Seventeen members of the Class of 2022 are DA Lifers – attending DA since K3, K4, or K5. Seven members of the class are DA Legacies – children of DA graduates.
This is a snapshot of the DA Class of 2022. Together they are much more than numbers. This class endured COVID virtual school for the spring semester of their sophomore year and many for fall semester of their junior year. They are resilient. They are represented by athletes, actors, writers, musicians, researchers, and philanthropists.
At commencement each senior was presented a Bible. The inside cover of the Bible included their name and the newly selected DA guiding verse, Psalm 115:1. When asked, What is the one thing you will take away from your DA experience?, one graduating senior wrote, “how much DA has spiritually and academically taught me and prepared me for my life in the future and eternity.”
Congratulations Davidson Academy Class of 2022!
Not to us Lord, not to us but your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1
