Rest In Peace Mr. Mayernick (April 10, 1938 - March 6, 2023)

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of a truly iconic figure at Davidson Academy, Arthur M. Mayernick. He went to be with the Lord yesterday, March 6, 2023, at the age of 84. Mr. Mayernick was a teacher and principal for 15 years at DA, as well as a football, baseball and basketball coach. He made a great impact and touched many lives during his career in education. The Davidson Academy community will be praying for the Mayernick family through this difficult time.
