PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Dear Elementary Families,

Last week our students and teachers were busy wrapping up the third quarter and anticipating spring break! No one could have predicted where we find ourselves today. Over the last 7 days, our amazing team of professionals has worked diligently to create an entirely new method of instruction for your children. While nothing can replace the daily interactions our teachers have with our students in classrooms, we are creating a space for students and teachers to maintain those relationships. Over the next few days, we will be sharing more detailed information about how this new delivery method will work and walking you through the initial phase. We know you will have many questions so we will do our very best to make ourselves available to you.

On Sunday evening, I will be hosting an online parent meeting to share more information and answer your questions. In the meantime, here are a few things I want you to know.

1. We understand that each individual family is being impacted by the current events in a different way. Some of you are balancing working from home while also caring for your children. Others of you are depending on family and friends to care for your children while you continue to serve in your jobs. Every home will navigate this time differently and we will be exible.

2. The Elementary Distance Learning plan is designed to be as simple as possible for our students to navigate with minimal assistance. We are excited to implement some new and exciting learning opportunities as well!

3. We will be providing you will all the content you will need to ensure your children continue to make progress. Our teachers are building their own lessons to share with you as well as gathering engaging resources to keep your kids excited about learning.

4. This will take some time. In one week, we have completely changed the expectations of our teachers and students. I fully expect a few bumps in the road during the first week. We will have a lot of grace for our students and I ask that you have the same grace for my teachers as they navigate a whole new world of teaching. We are so thankful for each and every one of your families and are committed to preparing your children for college, life and eternity. Even when that means taking a whole new approach.

Lifting your families in prayer!

Kelly Colley
