Distance Learning Continues Through the 2019-2020 Published School Calendar

Dear DA Family,

Following Governor Bill Lee’s recommendation to close schools in Tennessee for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, Davidson Academy will follow his recommendation and continue to utilize our distance learning program through the remainder of the 2019-2020 published school calendar. You will be hearing directly from Dr. Shrader and Mrs. Colley next week with regards to specific year-end events planned within the Upper School, Middle School and Elementary School.

Our incredible faculty and staff are dedicated to keeping our students engaged academically and spiritually over the next month to further their education through the Zoom digital platform and other online resources, while placing the highest priority on our students’ health and safety in these unprecedented times. We will continue to bring the same energy and high level of enthusiasm for our students’ success to better prepare them for college, life, and eternity.

We are proactively committed to providing a memorable graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020. We are finalizing the details of scheduling a new graduation date for our seniors, who deserve the opportunity to celebrate the many accomplishments and accolades earned during their time at Davidson Academy. Please anticipate that new date and details to be communicated next week. We hope this will allow families to plan and safely participate in the traditional ceremony. Our goal is to make our graduation ceremony available to watch via live-stream for all those family members and friends who may not be able to attend.

With several questions that may now arise, please be looking for more information next week. We will promptly communicate details for the remainder of the school year to you and the entire DA family.

Together we are DA!
