Davidson Academy Plans to Reopen for School on August 6

Dear DA Family,

We are actively preparing to reopen our campus for in-person instruction for our students on August 6. Over the last several weeks, we have been working diligently to put together a comprehensive plan for reopening school, on schedule, with the health and safety of our students, families, faculty, and staff, as the top priority. We are formulating plans with a goal to uphold the highest academic standards for our students in mind, while considering the everyday challenges presented by this pandemic.

With new information that seems to come out each day, this continues to be a challenging process. However, we want to provide you – our DA family – with assurance that this strategic planning is being well thought out, with a deliberate approach to ensure your child’s safety, as well as the safety of your family.

While we plan to gradually bring faculty and staff back onto campus over the summer months, it is important to note that all plans developed are highly contingent on the continued progress of Nashville and Davidson County systematically reopening and progressing through the phases established in the roadmap set forth by Mayor Cooper’s COVID-19 task force. We are constantly monitoring the situation daily, while making necessary adjustments as needed to safeguard our Davidson Academy community. We appreciate your continued flexibility, support, and encouragement as we navigate through this evolving situation.

Thank you for your patience and your support of our school during this time. We plan to share specific details for reopening school with you in the coming days and weeks ahead.

We truly look forward to a safe return to on-campus life soon.

Together we are DA!
